South East Arts NSW is calling for Expressions of Interest from suitable persons to join the South East Arts Board.
South East Arts is the regional development organisation for arts and culture in the Bega Valley, Eurobodalla and Snowy Monaro Shires. We actively assist the development of, and participation in arts and culture throughout the South East region of NSW. The new Strategic Plan 2022-24 identifies focus areas of cultural tourism and Aboriginal arts and cultural development, along with ongoing services to build the capacity of artists, arts organisations and local councils in delivering cultural programs and projects.
The South East Arts Board has a positive, active, professional and collegiate board culture and is made up of 10 Members composed of 3 Council representatives and 7 skills-based co-opted people from the community. Board Members are appointed for a 2 year term and are eligible for reappointment for 2 further terms of 2 years each. Board Members can only serve the Board for a maximum of 6 years. The South East Arts Board meet 4 times per year in different locations around the south east region, as well as online as required.
South East Arts is seeking 2 new skills-based Board Members from the community. The Board is particularly keen to hear from candidates with a skills-base not limited to but drawing from the fields of Fundraising/Philanthropy, Arts Management, Cultural Tourism, Creative Business and First Nations Culture. We are seeking new members who are passionate about the community and have an appreciation of arts and culture and the role it plays in building and driving community.
EOI process and timeline
Expressions of Interest should be received by 11 February 2022.
