Welcome to our June eNews!

The Starks have been warning us that Winter is coming - and now it's here! But no need to clean off your Dragonglass and prepare to fight an army of the dead. Instead, you should dust off the wooly jumper and get out there for a winter wonderland of arts activities. Here at South East Arts we have plenty of opportunities to get involved with Short Story writing workshops in Bega and Moruya, creative business workshops in Cooma, an Arts and Artisan Trail for the Snowy Monaro and Weekend Pass tickets on sale for Headland.

In partnership with Queerobodalla we have a writing workshop in Moruya with Inga Simpson and we are delighted to work with SECCA in presenting a Meet the Artists event with Michael Simms and Kirk Page, who are in the region for a creative residency.

The June long weekend has festivals from the ocean to the snow, with Merimbula Jazz and Wintersun Festival providing golden vibes, while Peak Festival at Perisher promises to be totally cool. If indoor activities are more your thing, check out exhibitions at SECCA, the BAS and Raglan Gallery. And there is still time to see a wonderful range of First Nations artists at Spiral Gallery in Bega for the next few days, with Paint Like a Girl featuring Di Hocking and Justine Spina after that for the rest of the month. You can even get your James Joyce on at Florabel in Eden as part of their Bloomsday event in mid-June.

And that's to name but a few offerings. Read on for more....
