South East Arts is offering arts groups, organisations and local Councils the opportunity to apply for funding to the Country Arts Support Program (CASP) 2023 - to support projects within the South East Arts service region. This service area includes the following local government areas Bega Valley, Eurobodalla and Snowy Monaro.

CASP can be accessed by artists’ groups or collectives, not-for-profit organisations, museums, and galleries. Local Government can also apply where Council offers a co-contribution of 50% or greater. Applications open on 1 November.

CASP 2023 is for eligible projects taking place between 1 February and 31 December 2023.

The scope of how the CASP can be used is broad and allows for activities such as projects that deliver broad community benefit, small capital grants for local galleries, museums and community organisations to improve their facilities, as well as delivering workshops, professional development and arts and cultural events.

Executive Director of South East Arts, Mr Andrew Gray, says, ‘The objectives of the CASP are to support arts and cultural activities and projects to drive community and social benefits.”

“Each round of CASP is increasing opportunities for locally based groups to access a diverse range of arts programs and enables our communities to explore and express their cultural identities,” he said.Grants of up to $3,000 are available to support activities or projects that engage and benefit a section of the community in the South East Arts Region.

CASP funding can be used for a range of costs or activities, such as:

  • Small-scale projects or events

  • Workshops

  • A collaborative project bringing together multiple groups or practitioners

  • Small capital projects or equipment costs

  • Exhibitions

  • Marketing

  • Collections, curation and skills development

  • Local Government applications must be supported by a minimum of 50% cash co-contribution.

Applications open 1 November 2022

For Projects taking place 1 February to 31 December 2023.

Organisations who were funded through CASP Round 1 for projects in 2022 are not eligible to apply for this round of funding. These organisations will be able to apply again to CASP in late 2023 for projects to occur in 2024.
