Applications for Creative Koori Projects funding are now open - closes 29 August 2022

Creative Koori Projects funding is open to Aboriginal artists, arts and cultural workers, groups, and organisations.

It aims to support a strong, resilient, and creative Aboriginal arts and cultural sector for NSW. This will be done by embracing the principles of Aboriginal self-determination and putting Aboriginal artists, arts and cultural workers, organisations, and communities at the centre of funded activity.

What can I apply for?

Funding may be requested for a range of arts and cultural activities including (but not limited to):

  • creative development

  • public presentation

  • commissioning professional artists

  • community collaborations/partnerships

  • research and/or development

  • audience engagement.

Who can apply for funding?

This funding is only available to Aboriginal artists, arts and cultural workers, groups and organisations. This is detailed in the Guidelines.

When can I apply for funding?

There are two opportunities to apply for funding during the 2022/23 financial year:

Round 1

Opens 20 July 2022 and closes 29 August 2022 at 5pm.

Round 2

Opens 5 December 2022 and closes 6 February 2023.

How much can I apply for?

The maximum amount of funding that you can apply for is $60,000.
