Notes

Welcome to Creative Arts Batemans Bay Incorporated (CABBI)

CABBI is a ‘not for profit’ cooperative formed over 32 years ago by a small group of local artists so they could come together to meet and exhibit their work.  We are very proud of our membership base which boasts over 100 members and is one of the largest Art groups in NSW. Our members produce visual art work to a high standard, across many mediums, including modern & traditional fine art, woodwork, mosaics, textiles, glass art, jewellery, ceramics & sculpture.

We hold several exhibitions throughout the year giving members a chance to exhibit and sell their work and they are rewarded for the high quality standard produced. We host varied and interesting workshops for members to attend to hone their skills throughout the year.  These are held by experienced presenters skilled in various mediums including many forms of painting, sculpture, mixed media and textiles. Dates for workshops are posted in the newsletter and on the website. We have a ‘plein air’ group who meet weekly at various locations to paint together and new members are always welcome.

The Gallery, Mogo is owned by CABBI and is a beautifully curated space for members to exhibit their hand crafted work. There is also a lending library of informative art books and magazines at for members to borrow.

Our members enjoy a 10% discount at the following art stores:

•       Frame Fast Art Haven, North St, Batemans Bay….. Art Supplies and Framing 02 4472 4174
•       Amanda’s of Mogo, 2/41 Princess Highway, Mogo ……..Art Supplies 02 4474 3453

Another advantage of being a member is to be among like-minded people.  We feel strongly about our craft and enjoy sharing ideas and ‘talking art’ in a supportive and encouraging environment.  We hold a monthly general meeting where we share ideas, and show our finished and/or in-progress works. We also produce as monthly newsletter, so you can keep you up to date with all the ‘art happenings’ within the group, the Eurobodalla Shire and surrounding areas.
