In partnership with TaikOz_ and Four Winds, South East Arts has secured funding from the Regional Arts Fund to support the development of the Japanese drumming group STONEWAVE TAIKO during 2016 – this entails skills, professional and business development as well as public performances around the region, brand development and marketing.

They kicked off 2016 with the first cultural performance at the opening of the new Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre, this was followed by almost 10  months of intensive rehearsals and training in preparation for their first big professional concert Stonewave Taiko: Thunder and Waves which took place in November in partnership with special guests YuNiOn.

In 2016 South East Arts supported the development of Stonewave Taiko through a grant from the Regional Arts Fund – an Australian Government initiative supporting the arts in regional, remote and very remote/isolated Australia.
