Alison Flett is originally from Scotland where her poetry collection Whit Lassyz Ur Inty was shortlisted for the Saltire First Book of the Year Award. Her work was also anthologised in Dreamstate: New Scottish Poets (Polygon), Ahead Of Its Time (Jonathan Cape), Modern Scottish Women Poets (Canongate) and 100 Favourite Scottish Poems (Luath Press).

She has performed her work on national television and radio and at numerous literary festivals. Since moving to Australia, she has been published in various journals including Australian Poetry Journal, Cordite, Rabbit, Southerly, Stylus Lit, Tincture and Westerly.

She has been longlisted for the Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize and the Bridport Short Story Prize (UK), shortlisted for the Whitmore Press Manuscript Award, the Adelaide Festival Unpublished Manuscript Award, The University of Canberra International Poetry Prize and the Newcastle Poetry Prize. She is an arts reviewer for InDaily, poetry editor for Transnational Literature and publisher at Little Windows Press.
