Noe Lumby is an Aboriginal woman who was born and raised on the ancestral lands of the D’harawal people in the Illawarra region. Noe has a particular interest in Indigenous Language and in 2010 completed a Master in Indigenous Language Education at University of Sydney. Noe is currently working with Eden Elders and Community in revitalising the South Coast Language. Her PhD research will focus on the Bundian Way project, in particular community initiatives that seek to reawaken Indigenous language in the landscape.
