JOIN US FOR THE GROW THE MUSIC 2017

Community Concert @ Eden & Wallaga Lake Koori Village

Everyone is invited to these great nights of entertainment for the whole family.

South East Arts is bringing Grow the Music back to South East NSW, courtesy of Create NSW.

Throughout October 2017 the Grow the Music crew will be undertaking intensive music and recording workshops in the Aboriginal communities of Wallaga Lake and Eden, NSW. At the end of each program the cast and crew put on an enormous concert. This is a great event that grows and grows every year.

Attending this concert is a great way to support the community of the Wallaga Lake Koori Village and to encourage these young performers.

It’s the third year in a row that South East Arts has brought the program to the region. Each year, the growing musical ability of the younger performers who take part is evident as well as the engagement with the broader community. The Grow the Music program at Wallaga Lake has seen the birth of the Ngaardi Womens Choir and has helped to identify and support emerging professional musicians like Gabadoo, who now performs at festivals around the region including Cobargo Folk Festival, Granite Town and Candelo Village Festival.

13 October – Wallaga Lake Koori Community
28 October – Monaroo Bobberrer Gudu Keeping Place, Jigamy, Eden
