Sculpture Bermagui, one of the region’s top five flagship events, is held over 10 days each March in unspoilt coastal wilderness of magnificent forests, fields, beaches and headlands.
Beautiful Dickinson Point headland and foreshore host the outdoor works, conversations with artists and public torchlight tours, as well as music and fire spectacles. The indoor works are curated in the nearby Community Centre to enable their appreciation, out of the elements.
Sculpture Bermagui brings diverse three dimensional art to the public, showcasing the skill and imagination of sculptors through works from established and renowned artists and emerging talent, from across the country.
Sculpture Bermagui’s passion for visual arts and cultural growth is driving this uniquely placed exhibition forward.
Local patrons, local and regional businesses and organisations also provide active support and funding for an expanding list of cash and in-kind prizes and awards.
Very importantly, our visitors have been buying increasing numbers of works and overall total sales have risen over the last few years.
This growing interest in and material support for art presented at Sculpture Bermagui has produced a greater incentive for sculptors to submit their work for the exhibition.
Sculpture Bermagui attracts an audience of thousands from the local community, Sydney and across NSW, Melbourne and Victoria, as well as from Canberra and the ACT. Travellers from other states and overseas also visit the exhibition.
