Sculpture Bermagui brings excellence in sculpture to the NSW Sapphire Coast. One of the region’s top five flagship events, it It is held over 10 days each March.
Opening this year on the Canberra Day long weekend, beautiful Dickinson Point headland and Park foreshore host the outdoor works and other sculpture centred activities, as well as music and fire spectacles. The indoor works are curated in the nearby Community Centre to enable their appreciation, out of the elements.
Sculpture Bermagui brings diverse three dimensional art to the public, showcasing the skill and imagination of sculptors through works from established and renowned artists and emerging talent, from across the country.
Local patrons, local and regional businesses and organisations provide active support and funding for cash and in-kind prizes and awards and increasing numbers of works and overall total exhibition sales have risen over the last few years.
This growing interest and support for art presented at Sculpture Bermagui has produced a greater incentive for sculptors to submit their work for the exhibition.
Sculpture Bermagui attracts an audience of thousands from the local community and region, and across NSW, ACT and Victoria. Travellers from other states and overseas also visit the exhibition.
