Over the past year, Doris and Naomi have been experimenting with printmaking, using the drypoint technique combined with watercolour and acrylic grounds. Drypoint, which involves scratching the design straight onto the printing plate, is a very direct way of translating a drawing into print. The resulting strong dark lines of print can be combined with other colours and textures, to create some very exciting effects. Doris has also explored various other printing techniques, including relief printing and collograph.
The exhibition runs from Wednesday, 3rd January, till Wednesday, 31st January. There will be an opening, with morning tea, on Saturday, 6th January, between 10am and 12 noon.
