Her Elements – Phillip Frankcombe solo
Opening 5 June at Spiral Gallery
Phillip’s intention in most of his paintings is to combine the elements of Mother Nature with the spiritual. He takes motives and symbols from different cultures and religions, to visually represent an invisible, feminine, creative power. He uses stencilled motives which may be English, Islamic, Buddhist, Christian or Hindu: any motive which shows this appreciation of the Divine.
The elements, Earth, Water, Air, Ether and Fire are a physical and beautiful result of this creative energy, the different spiritual symbols added to the elements aim for a universal touch.
This is the first Exhibition to open at Spiral Gallery since the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions have eased. The 1.5 metre social distancing rules will apply and the Exhibition will open at 10am on Friday 5 June, without our usual opening night function. It continues to 1 July.
