Learn how to make your voice and songs sound better by using correct microphone technique in this half day workshop. Find out about different kinds of microphones and what works best for voice/theatre/recording/signing. Learn some vocal exercises, and have fun funding your mic voice!
Ages 10 to adult
Minimum 4 Maximum 10 students
Cost: Full Fee $30 (Earlybird $25 if paid by 15 July)
Bring: Water bottle, morning tea, pen & paper or mobile device to take notes
Sam Martin has worked in the recording and production industry for the last 18 years, he is also a touring musician and a school teacher. Sam has a Bachelor of Music and a Graduate Diploma in Education. As apart of his studies at Australian National University Sam participated in a recording techniques course and as first in his class, was offered work at the ANU School of Music recording studios. Sam worked there for 3 years as a sound technician working on a variety of recording projects including sound on a Hollywood film. Sam is a currently teaching at Eden Marine High School as the music teacher and as a performer is most notably known as the bass player for Mikelangelo And The Black Sea Gentlemen.
