Lewis Dillon – solo exhibition of watercolours
Through my exhibition I hope to reflect an uglier side of humanity. Whilst this work may not appeal to everyone, I believe that the concept of a dystopian society is prevalent amongst younger people and balances out the ‘perfect’ view of the world that social media often portrays.
The works celebrate the grotty, griminess of everyday life. Many of the works will illustrate a dystopian view of society as the themes that interest me can be found in this environment. A reoccurring theme throughout my work is the cigarette butt, as I like to use the trash that people leave behind to explore my narrative.
This is my first solo exhibition and gives me the opportunity to get my work out there.
Please join Lewis for drinks on Wednesday 2nd January 5-7pm.
