Career advice and mentorship for women in screen industry comes to Bega

WIFT NSW under Raising Films Australia is delivering, the “Making It Possible” Pilot Program in Bega. The pilot program is a free one-day course with follow-up mentorship, for women in the screen industry whose careers have been impacted due to parenting and caring responsibilities. The course will be delivered in partnership with Screenworks and Creative Plus Business, supported by funding from the NSW Government via the Investing in Women grant program from Women NSW, and through funding from Create NSW.

The course will provide a holistic approach to personal, career and creative advice, mentorship and education while providing access to a free creche on the day. Expressions of interests to take up one of the 15 places per session will be open to NSW-based screen industry practitioners who identify as female, are aged over 18,and who have had a demonstrated “time out” from or had their career impacted due to the consequence of parenting or caring responsibilities.

participants will be supported with some assistance to meet the cost of travel and accommodation to attend the course. A year’s complimentary membership to Screenworks is also included for all regional course participants.
