MARK GUNTER @ SO ART GALLERY NAROOMA
Cadel Evans made history during the 2011 Tour de France becoming the first Australian ever to win the
famous race.
Multi-award winning photographer Mark Gunter was there to witness this memorable occasion and
after covering all stages of the 2011 Tour he came back home to Australia with a large library of images
showing what he witnessed of this historic occasion.
Mark has been photographing many subjects over the years but has favoured cycling in recent years and
is now one of Australia’s foremost sport photographers specializing in cycling.
The Tour was one of the highlights of Mark’s long career in photography, and with Cadel Evans out to
defend his title this year you are invited to come and see a collection of photographs from last year’s
historic race that will be on display at Narooma’s SoArt Gallery from June 28 – July 4.
The opening of the exhibition will be on Saturday June 30 at 3pm with light snacks and refreshments .
Come and relive Cadel Evans’ historic win as the drama of this year’s Tour de France begins.
