Call For Artists

ABC Artpost
Regional Arts Australia has a new partnership with ABC television - Artpost. Artpost is an opportunity for all artists in Australia, working in any medium, to tell the world about their work by uploading a little movie or still photograph montage about their work. ABC Television and Radio will be using the website as a tool to find good stories. The site is very new so the sooner you get up there the better. The process is very simple – all the tools you need and a tutorial are on to the site, and have a look at the posts that are already on the map. Please post a profile yourself, or track down the artists in your town and create one about them. Contact Jennifer Collins if you have any further questions.

Ashfield Artist in Residence Program

Ashfield Council would like to invite artists from your area to apply to visit Ashfield, Sydney for a period of 3 - 6 months anytime during April 2011 to March 2012.

What is the Artist in Residence Program? The Ashfield Council Artist in Residence Program is an unique initiative where Ashfield Council hosts a practising artist for a residency at the historic Thirning Villa in Pratten Park. Ashfield provides a rich environment for the artist to develop meaningful cultural exchange. During the residency, which is usually a minimum of three months, the artist assists Ashfield residents to express their aspirations through the arts. A range of opportunities for community involvement are offered and may include workshops or classes, open studio, artist talks at the Villa, in schools and nursing homes, as well as demonstrations and performances. Each program is developed in consultation with the artist and so will differ with each residency.
